This privacy policy explains how we collect, share, use personal information, and how you can exercise your privacy rights, including our practices regarding the access, use, storage, and sharing of Google user data.

ReelGenix operates the ReelGenix website (https://www.reelgenix.com), which provides the SERVICE.

This page is used to inform website visitors and our service users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information and Google user data if anyone decided to use our Service. If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy, including any Google user data. The Personal Information and Google user data that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email address, and account credentials. In addition, if our service integrates with Google services, we may collect Google user data as authorized by you through the consent process provided by Google. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you and to provide the Service.

Google API Limited Use Disclosure

ReelGenix uses Google APIs when you use your Google account to sign in and when you opt to allow ReelGenix to post to your YouTube channel.

ReelGenix's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features of ReelGenix.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to others except to provide user-facing features (with your consent), for security purposes, to comply with applicable laws, or as part of a merger/acquisition with confidentiality protections.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, retargeting, or personalized ads.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or for aggregated internal operations.

Google Sign-In Data

When you sign in with Google, we request the following OAuth scopes: openid, email, and profile. This allows us to receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This information is used solely to create and manage your ReelGenix account. We do not access your Google contacts, Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google service data beyond what is described in this policy.

No Advertising, Selling, or Surveillance

We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, or personalized ads. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to data brokers, advertising platforms, or information resellers. We do not use Google user data for surveillance purposes.

YouTube API Usage & Scopes

ReelGenix uses the YouTube Data API v3 with the following specific permissions (scopes):

  • youtube.upload — Used to upload your AI-generated videos to your YouTube channel as YouTube Shorts. This scope is only used when you explicitly click "Post to YouTube" or when auto-posting is enabled for a series.
  • youtube.readonly — Used to display your connected YouTube channel name, profile picture, and subscriber count on your Settings page. We do not read your existing videos, comments, playlists, or subscriber lists.

By using these features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

YouTube Data Retention & Deletion

YouTube OAuth access tokens are stored securely in our database and are used solely to upload videos and read channel info. Tokens are deleted immediately when you:

Instagram

ReelGenix allows users to post their rendered videos to Instagram via the Instagram Graph API. By using this feature, users agree to be bound by Instagram's Terms of Use and Instagram's Privacy Policy.

AI Content Generation

ReelGenix uses OpenAI APIs to generate scripts, voiceovers, and images. Your content prompts are sent to OpenAI for processing. We do not use your generated content to train AI models. Please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy for their data handling practices.

Third Party And User Consent For AI Apps

We do not share users' personal data with third-party AI applications beyond what is necessary to provide the Service (i.e., sending prompts to OpenAI for content generation).

Data Storage and Security

Google user data and all personal information is stored securely on our servers. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS and encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. We implement security best practices including secure authentication, rate limiting, and access controls.

Specific retention periods:

  • Google profile data (name, email, photo): Retained until you delete your account or disconnect Google.
  • YouTube OAuth tokens: Retained until you disconnect YouTube or delete your account. Immediately deleted upon disconnection.
  • Generated video content: Stored for 90 days after creation, then automatically deleted.
  • Account data: Retained until you request deletion. You can delete your account from the Settings page at any time.

Sharing of Google User Data

We do not share Google user data with third parties unless it's necessary to provide the Service, comply with the law, or protect our rights. When third parties are employed to process Google user data on our behalf, they do so under confidentiality agreements and are obligated to comply with our privacy policy and data protection laws.

Sub-Processors & Service Providers

The following third-party services process user data on our behalf:

  • Railway — Cloud hosting and database infrastructure
  • OpenAI — AI script generation and image generation (prompts only, no personal data)
  • ElevenLabs — AI voice generation and sound effects (script text only)
  • Google/YouTube — Authentication and video uploads (with user consent)
  • Cashfree Payments — Payment processing (no card data stored by us)
  • Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery

All sub-processors are bound by confidentiality agreements and data protection obligations.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Cashfree Payments. We do not store your full credit card numbers, CVV, or sensitive payment credentials on our servers. All payment data is processed securely by Cashfree in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

We may store the following billing-related information:

  • Last 4 digits of your card number (for display purposes only)
  • Transaction IDs and payment reference numbers
  • Billing address (if provided)
  • Subscription plan and payment history

Billing and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 8 years as required by Indian tax law. Cashfree's privacy policy applies to all payment data processing.

Log Data and Cookies

Whenever you visit our Service, we collect information that your browser sends to us that is called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser version, pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

We employ the use of essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

  • Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account)
  • Export your data
  • Disconnect YouTube from your account (via Settings > Connected Accounts > Disconnect)
  • Revoke Google access via Google Account Permissions
  • Opt out of marketing emails

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
